The Light Bulb :

The remarkable invention of the light bulb was a complete boon for mankind as it prevented our complete dependance on natural light, allowing us to be productive at any time, day or night. 

Several inventors played an instrumental role in bringing this invention live, although it was Thomas Alva Edison, who is credited with inventing the light bulb. His discovery was completely unique, as unlike other inventors, he created a completely functional lighting system, including a generator and wiring, as well as a carbon- filament bulb.

The discovery of the internet dates back to the 1960s when a team of computer scientists working for the U. S Defense Department’s ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency) built a communications network to connect the computers in the agency, called ARPANET, the predecessor of the internet. 

The Internet opened the door to several opportunities for the people worldwide, by providing them the solution to every possible problem. 

The Printing Press :

The printing press was invented by the German inventor Johannes Gutenberg. Printing press is a device that allows the easy availability of mass printing material or copies, usually in the form of text. The device permits the text to print by transferring the ink to the printing medium, which is often paper.

The invention of the printing press made a great positive impact on societies around the world, which allowed the spread of information quickly and easily through books, pamphlets, or posters. As print media spread, reading became more accessible and affordable to the world. 

Internal Combustion Engine 

Étienne Lenoir developed the first commercially successful internal combustion engine, around 1860, and Nicolaus Otto created the first modern combustion engine, also known as the Otto engine, in 1876. 

In these engines, the combustion of fuel releases a high-temperature gas, which as it expands, applies a force to a piston, allowing it to move. It works on the principle of converting chemical energy into mechanical work. This important invention enabled the invention of vast varieties of machines, including modern cars and aircraft. 

Automobile 

In the modern world, it is impossible to imagine living without automobiles. One of the most remarkable inventions of their time, automobiles have made travel extremely convenient for humans. 

German inventor Karl Benz is often credited with inventing the first modern car, who patented his Benz-Patent Motorwagen in 1886. 

Over the years, many people contributed to the development of the automobile and its constituent parts. The history of the automobile reflects a worldwide evolution. Many people had to work together to make the internal combustion engine and other important car parts that make automobiles. 

Steam engine 

The steam engine brought a true revolution into the technological world. Thomas Savery is credited with the invention of the first steam engine. A steam engine uses a steam-powered device to run the engine. This steam-powered device uses a steam pump that works where steam pressure operates directly on the water. 

Airplane 

Since the time of Leonardo da Vinci, and perhaps much before, people have imagined flying machines. But the Wright Brothers were the first to achieve controllable powered flight, thanks to the efforts of countless inventors over several centuries.

The invention of the airplane brought enormous changes to the human lifestyle by making international commutes easier and possible.

Electricity is a basic need for daily life and another essential invention. Although electricity has been there all around its first practical use needed to be invented. 

Alessandro Volta is regarded as the founder and discoverer of the first practical battery. He invented the battery in 1799. It consists of discs of two different metals, such as copper and zinc. 

Electricity has made enormous things possible and easy to do, by increasing the productivity of human work. 

Telegraph 

Although the telegraph is no longer used in the present day, it was one of the most amazing inventions of its time. The telegraph is used for long-distance transmission of messages. It was developed between the 1830s and 1840s by Samuel Morse and other inventors. The system operates by transmitting electrical signals through a wire installed between stations.
