Difference Between JEE Mains And JEE Advanced Syllabus

The difference between JEE Mains and JEE Advanced syllabus is not very high. The syllabus for JEE Main and JEE Advanced is essentially the same; however, there are a few topics covered in JEE Main that are not covered in JEE Advanced, and vice versa.

JEE Advanced questions are harder than JEE Main ones. JEE Advanced assesses all critical skills, such as conceptual thinking, memory, comprehension, knowledge, and application. So, as you may have noticed, in terms of the difference between JEEMains and JEE Advanced syllabus, there is not much to begin with. A lot of the topics overlap with only a few additions to the JEE advanced syllabus list. However, the JEE Advanced paper is without a doubt more difficult and challenging than the JEE Mains paper.

The difference between JEE Mains and Advanced syllabus is not very drastic. They are more or less very similar; however, the difficulty level of JEE Advanced is higher. Typically, there is a 40-50 day delay between JEE Main 2nd session and JEE Advanced. During this time, candidates can work on their JEE Main weak points, review all topics, and practise JEE Advanced mock exams.

It is not required to take both JEE Main and Advanced. If you are satisfied with an NIT or IIT, JEE Main is adequate. If you want to get into an IIT, you must take JEE Advanced, and in order to do so, you must have a top rank (within a certain range) in JEE Main.
